About Us:

We're currently recruiting on behalf of an addiction detox facility seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their medical team and provide direct medical care to patients in their detox program.
Position Summary:
We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner to manage the medical needs of patients undergoing detoxification. This is a medical NP role, not a psychiatric NP role. You will be responsible for physical health assessments, withdrawal management, and overall medical care, working alongside the facility's clinical and nursing team to ensure safe, comfortable detoxification.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical history and physical examinations on admission.
- Develop and manage individualized withdrawal management protocols.
- Order, interpret, and act on labs and diagnostic testing.
- Monitor vital signs and manage medical complications during detox.
- Prescribe and manage medications for withdrawal symptoms and co-occurring medical conditions.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director, nursing staff, and clinical team to coordinate patient care.
- Complete thorough and timely documentation in the EMR.
- Provide patient education on medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Respond to medical emergencies and escalate care as needed.
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license (FNP, AGNP, or ANP) in good standing.
- Current DEA license, or ability to obtain.
- Experience in detox, addiction medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification.
